In the middle of the enchanting Viennese city park rises an impressive monument, which is one of the most photographed in the entire city - the Johann Strauss Monument.
Its creation served as an honorary tribute to the unforgettable "waltz king" Johann Strauss (son) and it finds its location very close to the Kursalon Hübner. The name of the monument reflects the common spelling of the family name as "Strauss" at that time.
STATE OPERA
The world-famous Vienna State Opera, located in Vienna's 1st district, is one of the most reknowned opera houses in the world. It was ceremoniously opened on May 25, 1869 with Mozart's "Don Giovanni". The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra was formed, among others, from the talented members of the State Opera Orchestra.
